I’ve spent most of my career as a creative working in agencies, including Ogilvy GTB and Leo Burnett, across integrated campaigns for brands like Ford, Samsung, Southwest Trains, Jeep, Fiat, and others. I focus on making ideas that are clear and confident, and that translate cleanly across film, paid and organic social, print, and digital.
I’m hands-on throughout the process, from early scamps through to shoot, post, and delivery, directing photographers, editors, and production teams, and I’m comfortable using AI where it genuinely helps ideas move faster or work harder. I care about how things look, but more importantly, about how they land with real people in real environments.
After nearly a decade in agency life, I stepped away. I went to work at sea as a crab fisherman on the Cornish coast. It followed a period of personal loss and became an unexpected reset: a crash course in pressure, teamwork, and perspective. That time grounded me. It’s shaped how I work now: calm under stress, practical, and energised by solving problems.
Now back in the industry, I’m currently working freelance, developing paid media, AI workflows, digital-first campaigns, and social creative, and I’m open to the right permanent role where the work, the values, and the people feel aligned.

"I had the pleasure to manage Keir Fernie at WPP/GTB for a number of years and saw him grow into a well rounded creative. He learns fast and believed in being responsible for a brief and any job at hand. He is one of these creatives that always want to learn new things, asks questions and then applies his learnings. He will look at briefs from all angles and deliver solutions in any media, no boundaries of digital, social, experiential, print or film. He is particularly confident overseeing photographic and film shoots and delivers for his young age. Undeniably, Keir is a very enthusiastic and creative person. He is very social and will surely bring lots of laughter and energy into any creative department and the agency at large."
Camilla Herberstein - Creative Director - GTB WPP Ford of Europe account

"Keir is a lively, effervescent fellow packed with ideas. He also brings an old school art director's love of craft to modern advertising, obsessing over every pixel."
Fred Barber - Senior Copywriter

"Keir spent 9 months with me at Leo Burnett and was a pleasure to work with. His ideas and visualisation skills were great and his conceptual thinking really impressed me. I hope to work again with him even though his Italian was terrible."
